OuchLog — Privacy Policy

OuchLog is a pain and symptom diary that runs entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. OuchLog has no account system, no server, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and makes no network requests. We (the developer) never receive, see, or store any of your data.

What the app stores on your device

The information you choose to log:

This data is stored in a local database inside the app's private storage on your device. It is protected by your device's own security (passcode/Face ID/encryption at rest). You can additionally require Face ID to open the app (More → Privacy).

What leaves your device

Only files you create and share:

These are generated locally and only leave the device when you explicitly share or save them via the iOS share sheet. Where you send them (Mail, Files, AirDrop, a cloud drive) is your choice and is governed by those services' policies. OuchLog does not store health data in iCloud.

Notifications

The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. No push service is involved.

Data retention & deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual entries and medications, or use More → Backup & restore → Delete all data to erase everything inside the app. Deleting the app also removes all of its data.

Health data

OuchLog does not currently read from or write to Apple Health (HealthKit). If a future version adds optional HealthKit integration, it will ask for your permission first, and HealthKit data will never be used for marketing, advertising, or shared with third parties.

Children

OuchLog is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this page with an updated date. Since the app collects nothing, changes would only ever describe new optional features.
